Regret

Regret is powerful.

It never lets you forget

It never lets you forgive

Regret is your ghosts of yesterday, wrapped up in your thoughts of today.

It motivates, distracts and destroys

It sticks to your insides, nests in your soul

Reeking havoc on all the good you have, replacing it with rot and hate

Regret is guilt

The reminders of the should haves and why didn’t I’s

Plaguing at your conscience, attacking with doubt.

Regret is timeless

It doesn’t loose focus, it is relentless.

You can’t drown it out, or stun it with silence.

There is only one winner and you’re always the loser.

Vindictive and precise

Regret, regrets.
